Morgan Plus 4 won the 2.0-liter class in 1962 24 hours Le Mans 60 years ago. Morgan Motor Company commemorates this event with a limited edition plus four LM62. Only 62 units of LM62 will leave the factory gate in Malvern, and each will have a base price of £ 78,995 or around $ 107,776.
The latest LM62 Morgan drives a bound aluminum chassis as a standard plus four. It features a bespoke decoration collection that gives respect to Morgan Plus 4 Morgan Sports Racing Cars 4. For starters, LM62 has a standard white hardtop roof as a racing model, and even equipped with LM62 graphics package, including the number 29 in the hood and LM62 rear badge.
Besides that, it has beautiful silver wire wheels, rear panels and le mans style fuel fillers. Other unique touches include body pillars, standard fog lights, black Mohair side screen, black splitters, and active disposal systems with lost waste tips.
The 60-anniversary theme continues inside with LM62 laser-carving leather door saddle, headrest head embroidery chair, and exclusive metal metal warning. Also the standard is a hollow black leather chair plus chairs, suitable stitches, and tunnels of tawny wood center and dashboard.
If you don’t like Hardtop, the optional feature list includes a soft-top roof, while the LM62 accessory package throws in a lamp cassette, the moto-Lita steering wheel, and chrome interior mirror mirror. “With Morgan Plus Four LM62, we pay homage to these famous vehicles and extraordinary moments in time, 60 years,” said Morgan Motor Company. “This is an attractive proposition for customers who want Morgan’s history.”
Morgan Plus Four LM62 is available for ordered now at Morgan Dealer globally, and car makers offer a left or right drive variant of a limited edition of the car. Under the hood is a Turbocharged four-cylinder engine sourced from BMW which pumps 225 horsepower and 258 pounds of torque. LM62 offers a choice between six-speed manual or automatic eight-speed gearbox.
