Nvidia Shield TV smart TV devices, surprisingly, still getting updates from Nvidia. Not only the latest models, but original 2015 Nvidia Shield TV devices. The latest updates appear this week, bringing Shield Experience 9.0 with Android 11, prepared for each version of the Nvidia Shield device, which is old.
This update adds the Stadia button support to several controllers, including shield controllers, the PlayStation DualShock Controller, and the Xbox Controller. Nvidia Shield continues to support various kinds of 3rd party controllers and own proprietary gaming controllers and Bluetooth headsets. This update also adds support for Bluetooth headsets that are compatible with APTX.
This update expands the options available for Bluetooth devices connected to NVIDIA SHIELD. The main increase for battery life allows automatic termination of Bluetooth devices when Nvidia Shield goes to sleep. Others add the ability to match audio content resolution automatically (for speakers), with high resolution audio.
There is a new energy saver setting for new power adjustments – although this won’t be very important unless you are worried about tiny forces that are specifically interesting as they are presented by NVIDIA SHIELD. This update also adds the Android Security Patch for September 2021 – Finally!
With Android 11, NVIDIA SHIELD Get a new privacy feature (as you will find on another Android 11 device). At the same time – and on time – you will find a new default keyboard with youdream. This keyboard adds new speech functionality – more than that appears on the previous device.
If you have the NVIDIA Shield TV that you have now, you will see this update available in a week. To force updates, try restarting your NVIDIA SHIELD TV, or heading to the bottom of your veranda screen to find settings – about – system updates – download. If you haven’t seen updates at the end of this week, you might need to re-reset your device. For this, you might need to revoke your NVIDIA Shield from resources, install the machine back to these resources, and start again.
